Our Belief

The therapeutic process can help reduce symptoms, overcome challenges and implement healing and positive change. Clients can become more introspective as well as insightful as they gain knowledge and understanding in how they are the authors of their life story.
Ultimately, clients are the experts in their own lives and we can help them in finding meaning, compassion and self-acceptance, free of judgment.

You are unique in the experiences you have encountered over many years and should be supported in the specific ways you need. Therapy should never be a one size fit all model. I practice from a trauma focus, through psychodynamic perspectives. I help clients reclaim their lives and create healing from painful experiences in the past and present day.

If you are experiencing symptoms that affect your quality of life, I am here to help you. My work with clients includes, but is not limited to: anxiety disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, sexual abuse, domestic violence, trauma/complex PTSD as well as relationship challenges, couples/marital struggles, new mothers/parents, family discord, identity issues, life transitions and work /life balance.
I received a Master of Counseling Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, with a concentration in Latino Mental Health and Multiculturalism. My undergraduate degree is in Social Psychology from DePaul University, where I previously taught as an adjunct instructor.

Embarking on a therapeutic journey requires significant bravery. The path may feel unfamiliar, at times intimidating and the journey may be challenging. I am committed to working with you, establishing a trusting relationship and providing an empathic and judgement free environment. I encourage open self-expression, vulnerability and patience, as you grow in self-compassion and understanding of your lived experiences.
My approach is client-centered which helps to empower clients in making desired changes and working towards being their most authentic selves as they gain insight through their growth and healing. My clients are adults, couples, and adolescents, experiencing a range of challenges, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem, and life transitions.
I received special training in somatic-based therapy for the treatment of trauma/PTSD and other mental and emotional health issues expressed through the body.
Both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degree are in Social Work from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and the University of Illinois Chicago respectively.
